In this article you will find general information on the process of a return (return/collection) of Lendis elektronic devices:
- A return can only take place if the customer has previously cancelled the rental contract. You can find information on this in the section: How do I terminate my Lendis rental contract? (exception: Customer has informed Lendis Service team of a defect product, and we ask them to send it to us. Please write to us at support@lendis.de in that case.)
- For electronics, the planning of the return usually starts 14 days before the desired collection date. If no desired date has been specified: 14 days before the confirmed cancellation date
- The collection date will be agreed with you by email with the designated contact person
- In the case of an electronics return, the Lendis devices will be sent to a partner authorised by Lendis
- Lendis will provide return labels by arrangement
- The customer must pack the goods securely for transport
- We arrange for parcels to be picked up by a parcel service (on your preferred date)
- Lendis confirms receipt of goods in the warehouse by email,
- Returned products will not be invoiced in the following month
- A technical inspection of the goods will take place after approx. 3-4 weeks
- In the event of discrepancies (incorrectly returned products, damage not previously documented, missing power supply units), Lendis will inform you of this and additional costs may be incurred
- After you have been informed about the inspection of the devices and any discrepancies have been clarified (if necessary), the return is complete
Important: Please note the following when returning electronics:
- Please inform Lendis of any damage to the items before returning them. You are contractually obliged to do so. You can write to us at support@lendis.de.
- All Lendis items must be returned with original accessories. This includes: Cables, chargers, remote controls, pens, adapters, keycards and keys etc.
- Notebooks, smartphones and tablets must not be locked by passwords, PINs, IDs, MDM locks (MDM = Mobile Device Management) or similar
- Devices blocked in this way will be considered a total loss on return and additional costs will be incurred
Special cases and more advice on return:
- In the case of larger returns (large number of devices), it is possible that the process may differ. In this case, Lendis Logistics will inform the customer in advance
- If customers return Lendis products without prior notification or cancellation notice, the rental relationship remains in place for these (until clarification/cancellation takes place). Additional costs are incurred
- If the customer independently sends products to Lendis or Lendis partners using a courier/parcel service (without using a return label provided by Lendis), the customer is liable in the event of loss or is responsible for the investigation. In the event of loss in such cases, the customer shall incur costs (total loss).
